My friend Jane McDowell plays the part of a cold-hearted bureaucrat in a short film called ‘The Mass of Men.’ I mention it because Jane won Best Actress, while the film was Best Film at the Barcelona ‘Filmets’ festival. Well done everyone, especially Jane.

Interestingly, Jane’s character is very much the type of public service worker emerging because of Iain Duncan-Smith’s ‘get the shirkers back to work’ programmes and there are some unexpected consequences of his policy played out in the movie.

If you’d like to see the film you can find it here.

It’s only 16 minutes and you’ll need a password to view it, which is: gg2012
